The R300 represents the flagship model of the Skermetta line. The classic maple top on mahogany body starts life as a solid, single slab of mahogany. The mahogany body blank is chambered for an open tone and comfortable playing weight. A highly figured maple top is then glued to the chambered body for shaping and carving. The R-300 features a maple binding that represents our highest level of cosmetic attention. After applying one of our vivid stain color schemes, the top is finished in gloss while the rest of the instrument is finished in a player-friendly satin. Our unique scarf joint neck construction incorporates a figured maple headstock into the mahogany neck. We stain the headstock face to match the body and top it off with maple binding. The neck heel is sculpted for improved high fret access. Select high-grade electronics and hardware complete the package. Available in Trans Blue, Trans Red, Tiger Burst and Amber Burst.
