The S family of Skermetta ATX Series guitars starts with a classic Alder body, selected for light weight. We strive to use one-piece bodies whenever possible. For maximum playability, the fingerboard edges are rolled and the frets are specially dressed to help you with wider bends. Our S guitars are truly player instruments, with special attention during setup and final assembly from master luthier Peter Skermetta. The Lindy Fralin pickups are matched for output and tone, with the option of a bridge humbucker in the S-100 and S-150. The finished product is, as Peter likes to say, “designed to be played into the ground”. Although we include a hardshell case, don’t be afraid to throw your Skermetta S in a your favorite gig bag and field test its endurance at rehearsals and gigs.
